St Bede’s host enterprise transition event

The Food Education Company delivered an enterprise workshop to Year 6 and 7 pupils as part of the Transition Programme for St. Bede's Catholic Cluster of schools in Derwentside.

Beth Meggeson, Extended Services Coordinator said: "From start to finish Sarah and Mags were brilliant - very flexible, organised and great with the students.  Sarah delivered the whole workshop with expertise and knew exactly how to get the students talking and working together - no mean feat when they started the day not really knowing each other.

"Comments from the pupil evaluations highlight the educational and social benefits the session delivered and I am certain that the Year 6 pupils feel much more confident about their transition to secondary school as a result of taking part in The Food education Companies Enterprise Day."


"Many thanks for visiting our school, it was great!!! We used your ingredients up the following day and the children were still buzzing. Quite a few children have been cooking the recipes at home for their families. Looking forward, we are planning to incorporate a recipe into our menus every week."
